A HUGE welcome to the Year 2 class page!

In Year 2 we do lots of fun and exciting new things. Our Curriculum Map and Knowledge Organisers will tell you everything you need to know about what we do and when we do it. 

Highlights of Year 2 include - learning about The Great Fire of London, visiting Nantwich Museum, learning all about the Daintree Rainforest and exploring the Village of Guilden Sutton...to name a few. 

Homework and Spellings 

In Year 2 we change our reading books as and when we need to. Children chose their own reading book from their allocated colour. Homework will be given out on a Thursday and it should be returned by the following Wednesday. 

Spelling investigations will be sent out on a Friday and will be tested the following Friday. Spelling investigations practice a spelling rule learnt during the previous week. Once a spelling investigation is complete, children should continue practicing the spelling rules ready for their test on a Friday. 

PE

Our PE sessions are on a Wednesday morning and children should come into school in their PE kits. 

Toast

We are continuing to give out toast in the classroom this year. Please could the children bring in their toast money at the beginning of the week. It is 25p per day / £1.25 for the week. 

Each week, the children participate in s French lesson. To practice their skills, they can access the website Linguanfun.eu at home.
